Derbibrite Cool Roofs

The System
Derbibrite is the revolutionary ‘cool roof’ waterproofing membrane within the award winning Derbigum range. The highly reflective, acrylic top coat not only helps reduce the urban heat Island effect of buildings to which it is applied, it lowers internal building temperatures and is formulated to allow direct bonding of photovoltaic panels.

Lierde

Manufacturers Yamaha reduced the overall average temperature of one of their Dutch factories with the refurbishment application of Derbibrite. Not only did they benefit from reduced ventilation and cooling power requirements but have made provision for future installation of photovoltaic panels.

Applications
  • The white membrane is a key component in producing a ‘cool roof’ scheme
  • The reflective surface finish reduces heating/cooling load on the building interior
  • A higher performance alternative to PVC single ply
  • Suitable for use on warm roofs with metal, concrete or plywood decks
  • Equally suited to reroofing or new build projects
  • Suitable for flame-free application
  • Specifications for a wide range of project types are available

Performance
  • Available with a 20 year warranty
  • Manufactured under ISO9000 & 14001 Quality and Environmental Management Standards
  • Surface finish has a neutral effect on rainwater ph levels so as not to effect rainwater harvesting or discharge contaminant content.
  • High melt point ensures stability of the membrane in the hottest weather
  • The polyester and glass fibre reinforcement provide excellent resistance to tear and puncture, through high tensile strength
