Derbibrite Cool Roofs

Derbibrite Cool Roofs

Derbibrite is the revolutionary ‘cool roof’ waterproofing membrane from within the award winning Derbigum range. The highly reflective, acrylic top coat not only helps reduce the urban heat Island effect of buildings to which it is applied, it lowers internal building temperatures and is formulated to allow direct bonding of photovoltaic panels.

Lierde

Manufacturers Yamaha reduced the overall average temperature of one of their Dutch factories with the refurbishment application of Derbibrite. Not only did they benefit from reduced ventilation and cooling power requirements but have made provision for future installation of photovoltaic panels.

Derbibrite helps offset the Urban Heat Island Effect

  • Helps reduce air temperature of cities which is greater than surrounding areas
  • Aids heat balance in the urban environment to stop it becoming 'heat positive'
  • Prevents air conditioning usage increasing in buildings
  • Avoids greater energy consumption
Derbibrite results in Passive Cooling

  • Passive cooling roofs efficiently offset need for more air conditioning during heat waves
  • Results in less energy consumption, less Co2 emissions
Derbibrite Characteristics

  • The white membrane is a key component in producing a ‘cool roof’ scheme
  • The reflective surface finish reduces heating/cooling load on the building interior
  • It is pH neutral certified – no impact on water run-off
  • An environmental friendly, colour stable product with a patented design
  • Fire rated performance - BROOF(t1) (t2) (t3)

Derbibrite & Photovoltaics

Photovoltaic is a well known technology that transforms solar energy into electricity The electricity produced can be used immediately, stored or redistributed via the local network

The reflectivity of Derbibrite substantially increases the productivity of the photovoltaic panels.

pholtovaics

Derbisolar photovoltaic panels are of an amorphous silicon - Thin Film technology that is directly adhered after installation of the Derbibrite membrane. Alternative solar technologies are also compatible with the Derbibrite finish
